Morris J. Rothenberg

Morris J. Rothenberg was one of the founders of JHK & Associates, a firm which played a major role in traffic engineering and transportation planning in the Washington area, from its founding in the early 1970s. Morey, as he was known, was very active in ITE, and encouraged his employees to do the same. Setting an example for his staff, he served as an officer of the WDC Section, and was the recipient of the Transportation Service Award in 1986 and the Past President’s Award in 1993.  He also served as General Chairman for the Annual Meeting, when that event was held in DC during the early 1990s.  The Past President’s Award was re-named in Morey’s honor following his untimely death in the late 1990s.
